Criteria:

This is the Ohio National Guard Cross Medal Ribbon. Awarded to any service member of the OH National Guard who sets themselves apart through an act of extreme bravery, which may include risking one's life. The act must be voluntary and be far above and beyond the call of duty. The award is so prestigious that the governor or adjutant general must present the award in an official ceremony.
