I got the mini ribbons to wear on my suit, for my Dad’s funeral services yesterday.
It was fitting because I had found out from my mom, that he had served in the Mexican Army in 1959. And I felt even more proud I followed in his foot steps by serving in the Marine Corps.
But what’s even more astonishing is he went in Sept. 21st, 1959. And I went to boot camp Sept 13th, 1993. We were both 19 yes old.
The ribbons looked awesome on my suit. Thank you very much

I have not worn a military uniform in 30 years. I was bestowed the honor of rendering the first salute to a newly commissioned Ensign in the US Navy. The timeline was short and I needed almost all of my awards/decorations/accessories since mine were so old. USAMM was beyond helpful with outstanding customer service.
