Naval Reserve Sea Service Ribbon
Naval Reserve Sea Service Ribbon
Criteria:
The Naval Reserve Sea Service Ribbon (NRSS) is an award presented to service members of the United States Navy Reserves. To qualify a reservist must complete a 24 month (cumulative) tour aboard a U.S. Navy Reserve Ship or members of the Navy Reserve staff who spend at least half of their reserve drill embarked on qualified underway drills. Reservists are not qualified if they are called up to active duty, as they then become eligible for the Navy Sea Service Deployment ribbon. Additional awards are represented by wearing a Bronze Star device on the service ribbon.
