The NATO Medal is a decoration presented by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to recognize international NATO military members who have participated in various peacekeeping operations. There are currently 10 versions of the NATO Medal to recognize service in Yugoslavia, Kosovo, the republic of Macedonia, service during Article 5 operations (two), service for Non-Article 5 operations (four) and NATO meritorious service. The specific operation is indicated by a clasp displaying the name of the operation and some display unique ribbon patterns
