Criteria: The Military Intelligence Regimental Corps Crest is one of the Army's 14 Regimental Corps Crest insignias. The Regimental Corps Crest signifies each service member's unique regiment and is worn over the right breast pocket on the Class A uniform. The key, flash and sphinx symbolize the three basic categories of intelligence: human, signal, and tactical. The flaming torch between the crossed swords of the crest suggests the illumination as provided by Intelligence upon the field of battle. Oriental blue and silver gray are the colors associated with the Military Intelligence Corps.The motto "ALWAYS OUT FRONT" reflects the forward location in gathering intelligence information. The regimental insignia was originally approved for wear on July 28, 1986, but was revised on March 24, 1987 to change the sphinx from enamel to recessed and gold plated.
