The impact of the poster as a means of communication was greater than at any other time during history. Courtesy of the Library of Congress’ invaluable collection of prints and photographs, we painstakingly color separated, and hand screen printed our favorite American World War posters. These are not cheap inkjet prints, but hand made limited run silkscreen prints. We wanted to do these historical pieces of artwork justice, by reproducing them with care and pride.
About the print:
Silkscreen poster encouraging citizens to be mindful of careless talk and to let the military speak for the nation. Commissioned by the Federal Art Project (WPA), 1940. Artist: Homer Ansley. Issued by the San Francisco Junior Chamber of Commerce.
