Criteria:

This is the Kansas National Guard Distinguished Service Medal Ribbon. It is awarded to members of the Kansas National Guard who set themselves apart through exceptional service or heroic action. For subsequent awards, a bronze oak leaf cluster is worn. A silver oak leaf cluster is worn in lieu of five bronze oak leafs. When awarded for heroism, a "V" device is presented.
