Criteria:

The D.O.T. Outstanding Unit Citation is awarded in the name of the Secretary of the Department of Transportation to any command of the United States Coast Guard who shows exceptionally meritorious service while performing their duties, accomplishing specific acts of outstanding achievement or exhibit distinctive conduct in the service of the Nation.
