Criteria: Worn by Aviation Ordnancemen (AO) with ranks from Petty Officer 3rd Class (E-4) to Petty Officer 1st Class (E-6). Aviation Ordnancemen are responsible for the operation and handling of all aviation ordnance equipment in the USN. They maintain all of the guns, bombs, torpedoes and rockets used in flight. The rating also includes those who stow, issue and load munitions and small arms.

The badge is sold with all 3 chevrons below the rating for E-6, and can be tailored down to the other two chevrons.
