The unit's motto, "Semel Et Simul," is emblazoned across the lower part of the design and translates as, "At Once And Together." The color red alludes to the unit's Artillery designation. The star at the top of the design contains the numbers "78", for the unit's numerical assignation, superimposed on the shoulder sleeve insignia of the parent division.
