United States Army 1st Signal Battalion Unit Crest (In Medias Res)

Criteria: These distinctive unit (DUI) are worn by the 1st Signal Battalion. In Medias Res is their motto and means Into the Midst of Things. Originally approved in 1932 for the 59th Signal Battalion, redesignated in 1942 for the 1st Armored Signal Battalion, and then finally for the 1st Signal Battalion in 1962. Unit crests are worn on the Army Class A Uniform (Greens) and Army Service Uniform (ASU).
