United States Army 143rd Field Artillery Group Unit Crest (Steel and Honor)

Criteria: These distinctive unit insignia (DUI) were worn by the 143rd Field Artillery Group. Their motto is Steel and Honor. All of the symbolism on this crest represents the four WWII campaigns it was involved with. Originally approved for the 143rd Artillery Group in 1969 it was redesignated for the 143rd Field Artillery Group in 1972. Unit crests are worn on the Army Class A Service Green and Army Service Uniform (ASU).
