Criteria: This is the unit crest, or distinctive unit insignia, of the 124th Cavalry Regiment. The unit's motto, "Golpeo Rapidamente," is printed on the bottom banner and translates as, "Strike Quickly." The design features a lion and a mars symbol, both of which allude to the unit's World War II service in Burma. The crest at the top is the seal of the State of Texas where this unit is based.
