United States Public Health Service Surgeon General's Medallion Ribbon
Criteria:
The Surgeon General's Medallion is an award of the United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps. The 3th highest in precedence, the exact requirements for the awards are up to the discretion of the active Surgeon General. The medallion is typically awarded for actions such medical breakthroughs in public medicine, disease control or prevention, or exceptional service in a senior position of the Department of Health and Human Services. Considered a civilian award it is approved for wear on all military uniforms.
