Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Medal w/ Bronze Star
The Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Medal was a decoration presented by South Vietnam to recognize valor and gallantry while serving in active combat against enemy forces. The medal was issued in four degrees represented by the type of device worn on the medal. The Gallantry Cross with Palm indicates an individual award cited before the Army, the Gallantry Cross with Gold Star indicates a Corps citation, the Gallantry Cross with Silver Star indicates a Division citation and the Gallantry Cross with Bronze Star indicates a Regiment or Brigade citation. When a higher ranking device is awarded, this device replaces the previous device of lower rank. Devices are not authorized to be worn together.
