MultiCam/Scorpion (OCP) Army Drill Sergeant Identification Embroidered Badge
Criteria:
First issued on January 15, 1958, the Drill Sergeant Identification Badge is presented to any United States Army non-commissioned officer (NCO) who has completed the Drill Sergeant Course at the U.S. Army Drill Sergeant School, and who has been assigned as an active duty or Army Reserve drill sergeant. The Drill Sergeant badge is a temporary decoration surrendered upon completion of duty as a drill sergeant. Pending approval from the Commandant of the Drill Sergeant School, the Drill Sergeant Identification Badge may be worn for the duration of a military member's career. Any drill sergeant relieved of duties "for cause" must surrender the badge and is not eligible for any further display of the decoration. The mirror finish badge is worn on the lower right uniform pocket of the Class A uniform. On the Army Combat Uniform (ACU), the subdued version is centered on the coat pocket.
