United States Air Force Air Education and Training Command Instructor Badge
Criteria: The Air Education and Training Instructor Badge denotes an Air Force service member's status as an instructor assigned to the Air Education and Training Command. The badge is the Air Force equivalent to the Army's Drill Sergeant Identification Badge. The instructor badge may be awarded as a temporary decoration to any Air Force service member who has completed a course of instruction as a Drill Instructor or Education Trainer. The badge is then presented upon the service member's assignment to an Air Force Training Command, such as basic training or Officer Training School. The badge is also occasionally granted to NCOs attached to Air Force ROTC units who serve as Cadet Drill Instructors. Instructors who have completed the requirements for their applicable master instructor program may wear the Master Instructor Badge.
