Air Force Civilian Award for Valor Medal Ribbon
Criteria: The Air Force Civilian Award for Valor Medal (AFCAVM) is given to employees who illustrate great bravery and who voluntarily take personal risks that go beyond the call of duty, such as approaching or entering a burning aircraft in an attempt to rescue trapped victims. The AFCAVM award can be granted by the Chief of Staff, U.S. Air Force or a major commander.
