United States Army 47th Infantry Regiment Unit Crest
Criteria: This item is the unit crest for the 47th Infantry Regiment. The crest in the top corner represents the 9th Infantry, from which this unit was organized in 1917. This unit served in France under the 4th Division and this is commemorated by the 4th Division insignia in the center of the shield. The color white is the original color designating Infantry.
