United States Army 249th Regiment Unit Crest (Nulli Cede)
Criteria: This product is the unit crest, also called distinctive unit insignia, for the 249th Regiment. The unit's motto, "Nulli Cede," is printed in blue letters on the gold scroll and translates as, "Yield To None." The blue in the center of the design represents the source of the Columbia River in Oregon where this unit is based. The setting sun is adapted from the seal of the state of Oregon. The griffin is indicative of defense from sea or air. This product is worn on the Army Dress Blue (ASU) Uniform.
